My credit card company called today to verify a $198.00 charge from “Invest.com”. Not only have I never used this website, I’ve never even heard of it. I guess I am lucky that the credit card company caught it — now that I have reassured them that it was not me trying to make the purchase, they are canceling the account with no charge to me. However, it is still strange (and slightly unsettling) that some idiot running around out there somehow found my credit card number.
