the Dalai Lama
The Dalai Lama is currently visiting the US. Yesterday and today he is in Ithaca. Apparently there is a branch of his monastery here, Namgyal Ithaca. Yesterday he gave a talk at Cornell entitled “A Human Approach to World Peace”. It was good but nothing ground breaking. I was surprised at how good his english was. He was also quite the spry, jovial old man, cracking a few jokes...
