I specialize in custom development of applications made usable by well designed interfaces. I strive for an unconventional aesthetic that is manifest both in appearance and interaction: beautiful simplicity. I primarily deploy solutions as native iOS applications and standards compliant web application using Ruby on Rails.

Particularly exciting to me are the current possibilities of vertical applications in which a rich web application also provides the data store for a beautiful mobile specific interface in the form of a native iOS application. I most enjoy projects that require designing scalable systems and efficient algorithms to solve hard problems.

I have 10 years of mobile software development experience, from Qtopia based PDAs, to BREW and J2ME phones, and now the iOS platform after being one of the initial developers admitted to the iPhone SDK beta program in March of 2008.
